Assets Outsourced: 

  • Joystix by Typodermic Fonts.
  • All other assets made by me.

List of features implemented:

  • Ball random direction on spawn, exact same speed no matter the direction.
  • One and Two player modes... see of you can beat the AI! :)
  • Scoring system and winning system at 10 points.
  • Main menu, Pause menu and Win screen.
  • Increasing speed the more you successfully hit the ball.
  • Sound Effects on collisions, different for wall player and score.
  • Resetting game on win, or restart button in pause menu.
  • Ball contained in play-space.
  • Winning screen displays correct player name who one.
  • One player mode with challenging AI enemy.
  • Post processing for a more retro feel.

I love that the balls are super fast when you hit them but then slow down some before reaching your opponent (and vice versa). Removes a lot of the boring waiting from the original.

Also, you've got that CRT bend/bleeding at /just/ the right amount.
